Purpose

The Legacy Fund was created in 2004 to provide an endowment fund for members to provide gifts, bequests and a variety of financial donations to support ministries of the church.  The fund operates by placing monies into an investment account under an outside investment manager.  This is managed by the Legacy Endowment Committee and the Church Council.

The Cathedral of the Rockies Legacy Endowment Fund:

     - Perpetuates the legacy of our church through ongoing financial support -- no gift is too small!

     - Provides a mechanism for members of our congregation and other interested people to give long-term financial support for funding emergencies or other worthwhile projects on a one-time or ongoing basis

Provides recognition to individuals who include the Legacy Endowment Fund in their wills or living trusts through the Legacy Society unless they prefer to remain anonymous

Unless otherwise specified, all gifts to the fund are unrestricted as to use.  The purpose of the fund, however, is to operate as an endowment with all gifts protected in the corpus.  A portion of the earnings from the fund may be allocated each year to support continuing ministries of the church.

Committee

There is a Legacy Endowment Committee that meets regularly to continue work on the Legacy Endowment Fund/Foundation and implementation of projects for the church.  If you would like to be a part of this important work, please contact John Briggs at johnxbriggs@msn.com to learn how you can join this special group of supporters or use the "Contact LEC" form.
