Weddings at the Cathedral of the Rockies

You do not need to be a member of the Cathedral of the Rockies to consider having your wedding performed in our church.  We recognize marriage as a precious and sacred gift from God, and we are honored that so many couples choose to begin their married life with a wedding ceremony at the Cathedral.  Please note that you are not "renting the building" for your wedding; rather, the church is agreeing to perform a marriage ritual according to our religious tradition.

The Christian marriage is an act of worship in which the wedding party and the guests participate. We sincerely appreciate you choosing our church to celebrate one of the most important days of your lives and are happy to take part in your service. The Church Staff will do all we can to create an atmosphere of worship for your marriage ceremony. A carefully planned service will help make your special occasion memorable.

Scheduling the Church

Time blocks available are 10:30 am to 2:30 pm or 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Please keep in mind that it is possible that there may be a wedding scheduled before or after yours, as well as other activities within other areas of the church. Weddings are scheduled on a first-come, first serve basis. Please notify the church of any changes or cancellations as soon as possible.

Available Wedding Facilities

  • The Traditional Sanctuary seats 800 (including balcony)
  • The Contemporary Sanctuary seats 500
  • The Cana Chapel seats 70.
For sanctuary and contemporary sanctuary weddings, dressing facilities are available at the church. The bride and bridesmaids may dress in the bride's room (Olivet Room). The groom and groomsmen will be assigned Room B-6—one of the Sunday school rooms in the new basement.
