FaithWork: God’s Love in Action

FaithWork provides a meaningful way to serve God by serving those in need and helping to sustain our community. Members of The Cathedral of the Rockies and the community can participate in monthly service activities that typically are held on Saturdays and last one to four hours. Most projects are suitable for children.

When is FaithWork?

FaithWork takes place each month for a variety of done-in-a-day projects that benefit the community and members of our church who are in need. Please see the list of previous activities as well as future projects. People must pre-register to participate by contacting Director of Outreach, Cindy Todeschi or by calling the church at 343-7511 ext. 253.

• February 25 — Habitat for Humanity
• March 3  – Bowl for Kid’s Sake
• March 17 — “Spudmania” planting potatoes at the Create Common Good Farm (rescheduled for April 1 due to weather)
• March 24 — The Idaho Food Bank
• March 31 — March on Hunger
• April 14 — Highway Cleanup
• April 28 — Re-Leaf Boise
• May 5 — Boise Parks Maintenance Project
• June 2 — Prep Day for Paint the Town
• June 4 – August 10 — Picnic in the Park weekly activity
• June 9 — Paint Day for Paint the Town
• July (date TBA) — Work at the Downtown Teaching Farm in the lot to the north of the church
• August 25 — Boise Rescue Mission
• September 15 — Boise River Sweep
• September (date TBA) — Highway Cleanup
• October 14 — CROP Walk
• October 27 — The Idaho Food Bank
• November 17 — Rake Up Boise First UMC Senior Citizen’s yards
• November 21 — Boise Rescue Mission Thanksgiving Banquet
• November 25 — Thanksgiving Friendship Feast
• December 15 — Deliver Christmas Food Boxes
• December 17 — Salvation Army Toy N’ Joy Store
