FaithWork: God’s Love in Action

FaithWork provides a meaningful way to serve God by serving those in need and helping to sustain our community. Members of The Cathedral of the Rockies and the community can participate in monthly service activities that typically are held on Saturdays and last one to four hours. Most projects are suitable for children.  Do you have an idea for a FaithWork project that helps us end HUNGER, assists with HOUSING and improves HEALTH?  Please be sure to let us know and help us expand our service to the community.

When is FaithWork?

FaithWork takes place each month for a variety of done-in-a-day projects that benefit the community and members of our church who are in need. Please see the list of future projects. People must pre-register to participate by contacting Director of Outreach, Cindy Todeschi or by calling the church at 343-7511 ext. 253.

  • January 20 — Serve at Boise FUMC Friendship Feast
  • January 23 or 26 — Tours of Corpus Christi Homeless Day Shelter
  • February 2 — Sort food at The Idaho Food Bank
  • February 17 — Serve at Boise FUMC Friendship Feast
  • March 17 — Serve at Boise FUMC Friendship Feast
  • April 6 — Sort food at The Idaho Food Bank
  • April 20-21 — Frame two houses for Habitat for Humanity on our church lot!
  • April 21 — Serve at Boise FUMC Friendship Feast
  • May — 19 — Serve at Boise FUMC Friendship Feast
  • June 1 and 8 (date to be confirmed) — Paint the Town
  • June 1 — Sort Food at the Idaho Food Bank
  • June 16 — Serve at Boise FUMC Friendship Feast
  • July and August — Picnic in the Park — serving children lunch with the Idaho Food Bank
  • July 21 — Serve at Boise FUMC Friendship Feast
  • August 3 — Sort Food at Idaho Food Bank
  • August 18 — Serve at Boise FUMC Friendship Feast
  • September 15 — Serve at Boise FUMC Friendship Feast
  • October 5 — Sort Food at Idaho Food Bank
  • October 20 — Serve at Boise FUMC Friendship Feast
  • November 17 — Serve at Boise FUMC Friendship Feast
  • November 20 — Serve Boise Rescue Mission Thanksgiving Banquet
  • December 1 — Serve at Boise FUMC Post-Thanksgiving Feast
  • December 7 — Sort Food at Idaho Food Bank
  • December 14 — Deliver Christmas Food Boxes
  • December — Date to be confirmed:  Serve at Salvation Army Toy N’ Joy Store
