Since its creation in 2009, the Cathedral Quilters' Ministry has been making quilts for worthy causes. Quilts have always been gifts of love and comfort, and we feel called to make quilts for people in need.
Little did we know, when we started coming together on Thursdays to sew, that we would be graced with fellowship that has given us all love and comfort.
We have also been astounded by the generosity of the church community. We've received many yards of fabric, magazines, books, and tools. We hope that you continue to be so generous. We also invite you to join us in our mission. All skill levels are welcome.
In June we presented our first quilts to Boise Foster Care, in the hope that they will give children in the foster care program a sense of permanence as well as comfort in their sometimes chaotic lives. We are providing seven quilts to Foster Care.
In the future, we will give quilts to area hospitals, law enforcement departments, shelters, and other organizations. We're hard at work on the next quilts! Please join us in this wonderful outreach! |
